How PackScout EV works

PackScout EV $ estimates the average buyback payout using the platform's odds, stated values, and buyback terms. EV % compares that payout with the pack price.

  1. Platform data

PackScout uses the platform's prices, odds, inventory, stated values, and buyback terms. We do not independently value collectibles or verify every data point. PackScout EV and vendor-reported EV are calculated separately.

  2. Buyback calculation

Apply each outcome's buyback terms to its stated value, then weight the final payout by its odds. A product-wide rate applies only when it covers every eligible outcome. With one uniform rate, $1.00 stated Outcome EV × 96% buyback = $0.96 EV $. EV % compares EV $ with Pack Price. 100.00% is break-even.

  3. Trust Score

Every pack gets a trust score based on its collected price, odds, values, buyback terms, inventory, chases, and recent pulls. Low is below 50%, Medium is 50% to under 80%, and High is 80% or above. How complete and up to date the pack data is. Not financial advice.

  4. Last-known estimates

A Last-known estimate uses the price and data recorded at its calculation time. Check its timestamp and the current listing before comparing it with other packs.

  5. Limits

EV describes an average across many openings. It does not predict your next pack. PackScout excludes resale costs, shipping, taxes, personalized prices, and live currency conversion.

Most repacks return less than their price on average. Compare the estimate and its trust score. Not financial or gambling advice.
